Throwback to 80's memorable hairstyles

If you have an 80’s themed party and are struggling with your hairstyle, this is the right place for you to be.Hairstyles from the 80’s have always been a huge hit when it comes to dress up parties and themed parties, and are not short to choose from.
Here are a few of the hairstyles.

The Waves and the Curls

The light waves

Loose curls

A lot of the readers reading this may have naturally straight hair, which means that it gets boring and adding a little volume and bounce in the hair would make it more exciting. All you will need is a brush and the right amount of hairspray and your hair will be full of waves, you can stretch out your curls or keep them tight which is also called a “perm”.This method requires no heat which is a plus here as we are constantly damaging our hair with heating tools like curlers and straighteners.
This heat less method was such a popular method in the 80’s.

The ponytails

Scrunchies

Hairstyles like this have managed to stay over the course of decades. What made these ponytails so special were the scrunchies, of all different colors and designs. 80’s was all about the colors and crazy patterns that to be honest would seem funny and make no sense in our time but they were a huge hit at that time.

Ponytails in the 80’s didn’t always have to be at the back of the head the traditional way, they enjoyed wearing them sideways and also on top of their heads, Interesting.

The Mullet

The Mullet Look

David Bowie

Do you still listen to the Beatles and David Bowie? Have you ever thought about trying out their hairstyles? Mullet is one of the most popular ones we see in almost every 80’s music video and if not all, at least one of the dancer or the band member has it.
The mullet is among the 80’s hairstyles that worked for both the men and women, going out for a retro party, hanging out with friends or even talking a stroll down the park this hairstyle works for every teen or adult.

The Bangs

Bangs

One of the hairstyles that stayed includes bangs. These you can find in many 80’s TV shows or in high schools. You can achieve this look by teasing the hair at the front and a little on the crown of your head to volumize your hair, and then set the front bangs with a setting spray.

The Jheri curls

Jheri Curls

Micheal Jackson

We can not imagine a lot of pop singers from the 80’s without the jheri curls, like Micheal Jackson and Prince. All you have to do for this look is get the curls and set them, the fun part is that there is no correct way in setting them, the more messy and all over the place, the more good that would look on you.
The best part for this look is that the hair length does not matter, long or short these curls would look really cool on your head.

Hope you enjoyed these hairstyles, I know there are a lot other hairstyles from the 80's out there but these are my personal favorites that I am sure everyone would enjoy recreating. Also a lot of these are still trending in our age and time.

Thanks for reading.
