
In Pakistan, every wedding event honors the traditional wedding ceremony by wearing different clothes. The style of the wedding attire varies from north to south among different ethnic groups. However, in the urban cities of Pakistan men wear a brightly colour kurta or kameez with plain shalwar and colourful shawl on their shoulders and sometimes around their heads. In some marriages, before the wedding, dress code is determined and all men wear the same colour.
The bride wears a yellow or orange kameez with a simple shalwar, Patiala shalwar, white dupatta and yellow paranda until the wedding day and groom wears sherwani with churidar pajama. In other regions, customs vary in the north-west, particularly in the tribal areas, wearing Firaq Partug is necessary for a bride and groom wears plain,white-colored Kameez and traditional chappal called Peshawari and Bugti chappal. Brides also wears traditional sehra on their heads during the baraat event. Now groom mostly wear sherwani with tight jeans look like a churidar pajama. Wedding dresses are beautifully distinctive for a traditional ceremony in Pakistan. Brides usually wear a lavish lehenga or gharara with strong red and different vibrant colors like maroon and pink jewels.
